Truth Audit

A 14-day, fixed-scope operational diagnostic. Maps the real process — workarounds, undocumented handoffs, and every step that lives in someone's head. Produces three named money leaks and a blueprint. Yours to keep regardless. Refundable if it doesn't.

What it is

The Truth Audit is Phase I of every Vantelira engagement. It is a fourteen-day, fixed-scope diagnostic conducted by a Forward Deployed Operator embedded inside your business. The output is a written document that maps the operation as it actually runs — not the version that lives in the SOP binder.

It exists because most operational interventions fail at the same point: someone bought a piece of software, or hired a consultant, or wrote a new process — before anyone understood what the current operation was actually doing. The Truth Audit closes that gap before any money is spent on a fix.

Why "Truth"

Because most operations have at least two versions of themselves running in parallel: the one that's documented, and the one that's actually happening. The Truth Audit is named for the second one.

The diagnostic discipline that produces it is called Process Archaeology — layered, low-judgment excavation of how the operation actually works, where the workarounds live, and which steps are held together by a single person's memory.

What it produces

The deliverable is a single, written document containing three things:

  • A map of the real process. Every workaround named. Every undocumented handoff drawn. Every "this is how Sandra does it" step labeled.
  • At least three named money leaks. Ranked by impact and fix cost. Not "your inventory is messy" — specific, quantified, named.
  • A scoped blueprint for Phase II. If a build makes sense, what it would look like, what it would cost, and what it would change. If a build doesn't make sense, we say so.

The document is yours to keep regardless of whether you continue with Vantelira. It is not a teaser for a larger engagement — it is the deliverable.

The guarantee

If the Truth Audit does not surface at least three named, fixable money leaks within fourteen days, the audit fee comes back. The guarantee exists because we have never run a Truth Audit on a healthy operation. The businesses that engage us are the ones that already know something is off — they need help naming it. We are confident enough in that pattern to put the fee behind it.

"The chaos isn't the problem. The chaos is the data. We map it without judgment." — Ysi Gonzalez, founder of Vantelira

What it isn't

  • Not an SOP audit. SOP audits compare the documented process to itself. We compare the documented process to the operation.
  • Not a software selection exercise. The Truth Audit precedes any conversation about tools. Tools follow process clarity, not the other way around.
  • Not a deck. The deliverable is operational truth, written down and signed off by the people who actually run the work.
Frequently asked

Truth Audit questions.

How long does a Truth Audit take?
Fourteen days, fixed. The duration is fixed on purpose — it forces the diagnostic to be sharp and the deliverable to be honest. By day five, the named money leaks are already visible.
What does the Truth Audit produce?
A written document containing a map of the real process, at least three named money leaks ranked by impact, and a scoped blueprint for Phase II if you choose to continue. The document is yours to keep regardless.
What if you don't find anything worth fixing?
The audit fee comes back. Vantelira guarantees that if the Truth Audit does not surface at least three named, fixable money leaks within fourteen days, the engagement is refunded in full.
Do I have to continue with Vantelira after the Truth Audit?
No. The Truth Audit is fixed-scope and yours to keep. If the next phase makes sense, we quote it from the audit findings. If it doesn't, you walk away with a diagnostic that's already actionable.
Is this the same as an SOP audit?
No. An SOP audit checks whether the documented process is being followed. A Truth Audit maps the real process — including everything the SOP doesn't describe. The whole point is to find the gap.
How much time does it require from my team?
For most engagements, around five hours of structured interviews and walkthroughs across the two weeks. The Forward Deployed Operator does the rest — observing, documenting, and reconstructing the process from the operation itself.
